Spring 2018 RV Adventure

The Burgoyne Travels

After fully exhausting our Bryce Canyon sightseeing in one day, the next day we went off to explore Red Canyon and Kodachrome Utah State Park. Red Canyon is the northwest entrance to Bryce Canyon. We drove through it on our way to Bryce.

The red color of the rock highlighted the greens and other colors of the plants. The visitor center was not open for the season yet. We took two short hikes in the morning. What the first one lacked in distance was made up by its steepness and slippery loose rocks. But both were well worth the effort. Although, on the first hike, Becky was ready to start throwing some of those loose rocks at me by the time we started heading down.

A look out to part of the Red Canyon

The first hike, Photographer's View. From the bottom, it doesn't look so tough.

I'm going up there???

Tougher grade than it looks and slippery on loose rock.

Climbed up from that roadway below. Great view.

Second trail, HooDoo's Trail. Okay, this one is much flatter, walk in the park.

A hiking we will go, a hiking we will go ...

Great view up close and personal.
